What is the St. Clair County Mayor’s Association?

The St. Clair County Mayor’s Association is a coalition of municipal leaders from across the county who come together to collaborate, share insights and engage in discussions that impact the region. The association meets once a month, with meetings hosted by different cities in the association. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for mayors and city officials to receive training, network with peers and discuss regional initiatives that affect local governance.

These meetings serve as a forum for discussing best practices in leadership, economic development, infrastructure improvements and public safety initiatives. By engaging in these discussions, municipal leaders can learn from one another and work towards collective growth that benefits all of St. Clair County.

My Role in the Mayor’s Association

Since joining the Margaret City Council, I have been actively attending St. Clair County Mayor’s Association meetings. These meetings have become a vital part of my leadership journey, providing insight, resources and connections that directly impact the future of Margaret.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my participation is that I often represent Margaret as the sole attendee from our city, giving me the opportunity to speak on behalf of our residents. This platform allows me to:

✅ Provide updates on the progress and initiatives happening in Margaret.

✅ Ensure that Margaret remains an active participant in regional discussions.

✅ Advocate for opportunities, resources and collaborations that benefit our city.

✅ Build relationships with other municipal leaders to share knowledge and ideas.

Why These Meetings Matter for Margaret

Being a part of the Mayor’s Association has strengthened Margaret’s presence on the county level and has given me the ability to learn from experienced leaders while also bringing attention to our city’s needs and accomplishments. Through these meetings, I have:

  • Formed valuable connections with mayors, city council members and government officials.
  • Gained insights into county-wide projects and economic initiatives that could impact Margaret.
  • Learned best practices for city management, budgeting and infrastructure development.
  • Represented Margaret’s interests in discussions about regional growth and partnerships.

By engaging with county leaders, I have been able to build relationships that position Margaret for future success. This level of collaboration is essential for ensuring that our city has access to the resources and knowledge needed for continued progress.

A Commitment to Collaboration & Leadership

I firmly believe that a strong network of leaders leads to stronger communities. By remaining active in the St. Clair County Mayor’s Association, I am committed to ensuring that Margaret remains informed, connected and prepared for the opportunities ahead.

My goal is simple: to keep advocating for our city while learning from the best leaders in the region, so we can implement positive change that benefits every resident of Margaret.
